The Big Stylish Shoes I have to fill for Avenue’s Style Q&A

A couple of weeks ago I was asked by my friends at Avenue Magazine if I would be a part of their Style Q&A feature. I jumped, or perhaps leaped at the opportunity to be a part of this stylishly exclusive club (especially knowing that the incredibly talented Phil Crozier would be shooting). When I say that I felt honoured to have been asked is an incredible understatement. In fact, I would describe the feeling as gratefulness and slightly intimidated mixed with an overwhelming urge to shop my closet into shape before the photo shoot. I was born and raised in Calgary and have been reading Avenue Magazine since I can remember.  Over the years I have seen a lot of inspiring Calgarians amongst those glossy pages. And if there is anything that I know about the Style Q&A it is that you are not asked to do it if you are an uninteresting person, no matter what is in your closet. No pressure right?  But after a relaxed, approachable interview with the writer and some very welcome counsel and styling from my dear friend Designer Kat Marks I am now really looking forward to seeing the article when it comes out in March. So in anticipation of the article I have been reflecting on some of the Style Q&A Alumni that I have long held as Style Icons, most of whom I am fortunate enough to call friends.
