We are big fans of the magic that happens when event production and communications teams come together. Which is why our team is so excited to announce that we have been nominated for a Gala Award by Special Event Magazine.
Boom Goes The Drum alongside Anstice Communications has been nominated in the category of Best Event Marketing Campaign for our 2013 event ‘Twas the Night’ Media Launch.
Every year The CORE mall celebrates the holiday season with ‘Twas the Night’, an after-hours event to attract shoppers to the centre signaling the start of their Christmas marketing campaign. On October 16, 2013, sixteen media were hosted to an exclusive and intimate dinner party media launch which garnered pre-event coverage and resulted in record-breaking sales for the retail event.
Beneath a massive skylight full of twinkling stars, guests enjoyed Christmas inspired cocktails and a delectable four course menu served atop a shimmering, catwalk dinner table perched high above the mall on a 30-foot pedestrian walkway. Each dinner course was punctuated by a brief fashion where models strutted holiday must have style across the dinner table.
Finally the highly anticipated announcement of the 2013 ‘Twas The Night’ musical guest, Jann Arden, was unveiled by twenty black clad servers dramatically presenting each guest with a signed album.
This nomination is the third for this project. ‘Twas The Night’ Media Launch was also nominated for and won an ICSC Canadian Shopping Center Award in September. And the Gala Awards have also nominated Lea Romanowski and Designing on The Edge for best Dining Table Design.
A big Thank You to Anstice Communications for allowing us to be a part of the project, in particular, Alex Kingcott for masterminding the project. Working with talented professionals like you puts a skip in our production step.
The Gala awards (the Oscars of the event industry) will be given out on January 8th in Anaheim California. And we will be there to cheer!
