Ain’t no party like an alleyway party
An invite to a patio party? You know what that means… Summer is officially here! This June, we attended Contemporary Calgary‘s Patio Party. CC’s loading dock was transformed into an urban lounge, with disco balls and video projections. The evening kicked off with a talk on social spaces and urbanism by FRANK Architecture & Interiors, whose projects include some of Calgary’s chicest new bars and restaurants. Afterwards, the patio was open and drinks, music, and food completed the celebratory evening.
Despite an Environment Canada thunderstorm warning, the art and party enthusiasts could not be deterred – the beat went on indoors with DJ Sonidef and beer provided by Last Best Brewing & Distilling.
