Meet the Client
Contemporary Calgary began as a collaboration of visual arts partners, including the Institute of Modern and Contemporary Art, The Art Gallery of Calgary, and the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art. Their mission is to build a global city of choice by engaging Calgary in the art of our times.
Objective of the Event
To create a golf tournament that would bring together supporters of modern and contemporary art in a fun, relaxed environment, while raising funds and awareness for Contemporary Calgary.

Calgarians (and beyond) enjoyed a picnic style lunch outside the Elbow Springs golf course before teeing off and making their way through the sprawling 27 hold course to enjoy a day on the green. The three courses (Mountain View, Springs, and Elbow) each offer stunning, unique views for players to enjoy; smoky rocky mountains, deep ponds filled with spirited leaping trout, and crystal creeks rushing past towering evergreens and graceful willows. The day concluded with dinner at the club and a silent and live auction, hosted by Jay Mehr from Shaw Communications.
THE RESULTS
The inaugural event was such a success that the event was turned into a three year series, which raised thousands of dollars for the charity, and brought together some of Canada’s top modern and contemporary art supporters.
