Hey 2020, what’s up (A message from our founder)
New year, new decade, new Boom. While we’re not overly big on new year’s resolutions (sorry corporate gym overlords), the beginning of 2020 seemed like the right time to re-introduce ourselves and show what we’ve been working on for the last year- a new look and a new site. We’re pretty excited to share our new digital digs, but more importantly, we’re excited to tell you a little bit about why the update and what’s to come.
I’m not sure about you, but for me 2020 feels like an important year- something about it resonates with big impact and positive vibes. In fitting with the “perfect vision’” theme that 2020 evokes, it’s been a moment of personal reflection for me, and a time to look forward to new things.
Later this year, Boom will move into our tenth year of working alongside our amazing clients. When I look back at the last decade and the hundreds of projects that we’ve been a part of, I’m filled with pride to know that our team of strategists, producers, and project managers has supported so many of our clients in building influence by strategically connecting people.
These moments of connection- where we bring people together and unite them around meaningful experiences- are what we want to share with you through this new site. The roar of the crowd when the band takes the stage; the laughter shared at a holiday party; the lightbulb moment when conference attendees get the “aha” … These are the stories we believe in, the stories we’re passionate about, and the ones we want to help you tell.
It’s with that same belief and passion for the work that we do that I am excited to tell you that in 2020 we will be taking you behind the curtain, not just on our projects but also on the how-to’s, best practices, and processes of the work that we do. Throughout this year, we’ll be adding informative and helpful content to our blog and social media specific to creating events, project management, and creativity.
Over the last 10 years we created a winning formula: incredible clients with unparalleled vision + our production expertise = unforgettable experiences. Perhaps most importantly, however, has been understanding and helping our clients understand the “why” of their projects and the impact that we can make together. While we’ve got a new look, that formula hasn’t changed; we just got a glow-up. On our new site, you’ll notice vibrant lighting, bold colour, and plenty of smiling faces; these are some of the things that draw our team to live events, and part of what we want to share with you. Take a look around. Get inspired (we sure are!).
I speak for our entire team when I say it’s an immense privilege to be a part of connecting people by creating important moments. It’s in that spirit of connectivity that I’m hoping this year will provide more opportunities for us to connect with you – our community.
